    WWI ERA ANTIQUE BRASS SHIP’S CABIN OIL LANTERN ELI GRIFFITHS & SONS 1914.
    Antique brass ship’s cabin lantern with carrying handle, vented chimney and hinged door. Marked "Eli Griffiths & Sons 1914". Eli Griffiths and Sons, of Birmingham, England, was a lamp manufacturer that operated from 1870-1963. This lamp is 108 years old. Used aboard a ship as a cabin, wardroom, passageway lamp. Can be wall hung or free standing. 16” height x 8” width x 5.5” depth. Weighs almost 11lbs. Great original piece and excellent condition. Lantern has been meticulously polished and lacquered. No major damage, glass intact and has a few dents and marks on the exterior commensurate with age.
