    Description

    Portable Light Company
    Patrol Boat Spotlight
    Circa: 1968
This piece is relatively free of rust, is not damaged and looks to be complete. It is reported to have been used on
a Patrol Boat, Riverine (PBR) during Operation Game Warden in the Mekong Delta during the Vietnam war. As
can be seen it is showing its age. The wing nuts that hold the cover closed have rusted away although it stays
closed without them and the top bar is rusted on one side. The rest is in good shape and the light swivels
smoothly up and down. The wiring looks like it may be hanging in there, and the reflective back on the
inside has lost some silver. Included are the parts shown that where inside the housing when we
came across this light. The sockets look to be in very good condition and the bulbs were removed
from sealed (wool) padded envelopes. As it sits in the pictures the light measures 45" in length
and the glass is 11.75" in diameter. Please see the pictures for further details.
