  • Condition: My best guess is this was Made In England pre-1960, I tried to research "HM Admiralty Service” and didn't have much success. The glass has to be around an Inch thick.

    Description

    Vintage Brass Anchor Lantern
    This Vintage 'Anchor' Lantern Brass And Copper will be the perfect decorative addition to the nautical theme. This lantern has a particularly distinct classic feel to it. The oil mechanism is still intact at the bottom of this lovely piece, but needs a single  wick.
    The nameplates on the front read “Emory & Douglas Co. LTD, Hilton-on-Tyne, HM Admiralty Service” and “Anchor” & Serial "C5582". Without the handles, this lantern measures 19 inches tall. With the handles extended, the height reaches 23 inches tall. The base of the lantern is 9.5 inches. It weighs approximately 17 pounds. The Fresnel lens is in very good condition, with minor scratches.  The housing is made up of both brass and copper.
    To access the oil reserve, pull out the pin in the front and lift the lid open.
