HAND-SEWN Antique bisque, composition doll dress Jumeau bebe German French doll

Description

Offered here is an EXPERT ARTIST, vintage made, all hand stitched doll dress for a French or German bisque doll. The dress is modeled on a 21" German doll that IS NOT included in the sale. The dress is made of cotton sateen that is ENTIRELY cotton lined--sleeves, over dress, pleated underskirt--are all lined. The vintage lace is cotton and the ribbon trim is silk. The trim is all hand stitched (across the chest, bottom of the sleeves, and across the bottom of the overdress over the top of the pleated underskirt), as are all seams, hem-- everything expertly all hand-stitched. The fabric remains strong and appears never to have been used--in condition as if just made, but it is vintage (it has been in my collection since early 1980's and was made by doll artist many years prior--probably 1950's or 60's).  Closure is with one hidden snap at the back neckline.
The dress is 11.5" from neck to bottom, 6" sleeve length, 5" shoulder to shoulder.
