    Description

    Presenting....a Seldom-Seen RUBY RED Vintage Glass PEDESTAL COMPOTE / FOOTED COMPORT / DISH, in the pattern known as "Caprice", produced from the original Cambridge Glass mould by renowned glass-maker Imperial Glass, a glass company that began production in the early 1900's.  It's in EXCELLENT CONDITION, with only the lightest hint of wear, measuring 6" in diameter x 5 3/4" high x 3 3/4" across the base.  It's beautifully SCALLOPED around the perimeter of the compote, as well as around the base.....and the color of the glass is an AWESOME RUBY RED....with a TOUCH of AMBERINA in the pedestal!  There are the usual mould marks from the glass-making process, like tiny bubbles, swirls/striations, straw marks, and unique moulding anomalies; all characteristics inherent to vintage pressed glass.
