Antique 1920s Ships Brass Nautical Masthead Light AP8023R English Marine Decor
DESCRIPTION
This antique nautical masthead ships lantern made from solid brass, hand made & forged dating to the early 20th century was manufactured in England or Scotland. It is held in place on its copper top with 4 locking adjustable wing nuts with a metal hanging chain attached to it. The brass plate marked "APR8023R" is repeated on the cast brass metal undercarriage which originally would have been bolted to the ship. A masthead light is a white light at the front of the boat which needs to be visible across 225 degrees and from two miles away.

MEASUREMENTS
Antique masthead light measures 13" tall by 13" base diameter and weighs 17lb 8oz.
CONDITION
In good condition commensurate with age, but missing the internal burner (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description) .
